Four Malayalam Movies For IFFI Panorama

The upcoming 46th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) will see Four Malayalam Movies in the Indian Panorama. The four movies selected are Valiya Chirakulla Pakshikal, Ottaal, Ain and Lukka Chuppi. Around 26 films have been selected from the list of 230 movies, which includes the Sanskrit movie ‘Priyamanasam’ directed by Vinod Mankara.

Valiya Chirakulla Pakshikal is directed by Dr Biju, which deals with the Endosulfan disaster in the Kasargode district. The National award winning movie ‘Ottaal’ is directed by Jayaraj. ‘Ottaal’ also won the Kerala State Award for Best Film. ‘Ain’ is directed by Siddharth Siva, which won the National Award for the best feature film in Malayalam. Lukka Chuppi is directed by Bash Mohammad.

Ace filmmaker Aribam Syam Sharma headed the jury, who selected these feature films. Along with feature films, there is a non feature films section, which has 21 entries. The International Film Festival of India was started in 1952 and it is annually held at Goa. This time it will be organized from 20 to 30 November, 2015.
